Terry O’dea passes away

It is with great sadness we mourn the passing in the darting World of Australian Great Terry Odea “It is with heavy heart that I have to report the sad news of the passing of my great mate and rival in darts Mr Terry O’Dea” Stated Russell Stewart Earlier Today Terry was an absolute LEGEND of World darts and Australian Darts and the man who opened all the doors for all Australian dart players to follow, a great bloke he will be sorely missed,

O’Dea played in ten successive BDO World Darts Championships with his best run coming in 1982 and 1986 where he reached the quarter finals. O’Dea also played in four World Masters tournaments, reaching the quarter finals in 1984 and 1986.

He appeared on the UK television show Bullseye presented by Jim Bowen in 1984 where he scored 300 points (in 9 darts) for charity. He appeared two years later and scored 305.

O’Dea played in the 1985 WDF World Cup Team with Russell Stewart Frank Palko and Horrie Seden

He won the Hampshire Open in 1985

Dartplayers Australia sends condolences to Betty and Family and all of Terrys Friends
