CLAYTON TO MISS AUGUST’S WORLD SERIES OF DARTS DOUBLE-HEADER

Jonny Clayton has withdrawn from the forthcoming NZ Darts Masters and PalmerBet NSW Darts Masters events.

The Welsh star had been set to defend his title at the NSW Darts Masters on August 11-12, and was also due to return to Hamilton for next week’s NZ Darts Masters.

However, the World Matchplay runner-up has withdrawn from the World Series double-header for family reasons.

Clayton will be replaced in each event by the top-ranked non-qualified player from the relevant PDC Affiliate Tour Order of Merit, with Australia’s Damon Heta moving to be a PDC Representative in the draws.

Warren Parry will be the DartPlayers New Zealand replacement for the NZ Darts Masters, while Harley Kemp is the additional DartPlayers Australia representative in Wollongong.

The NZ Darts Masters will be held at Hamilton’s GLOBOX Arena on August 4-5. Tickets are available now through Ticketek.

The PalmerBet NSW Darts Masters will be held at the WIN Entertainment Centre in Wollongong on August 11-12. Tickets are available now through Ticketmaster.
