Australian World Series future secured with four-year Foxtel extension

The PalmerBet QLD Masters Darts. FINALS Saturday held at the Townsville Entertainment Centre, Townsville, Qld, Australia.

The future of the Australian leg of the World Series of Darts has been secured for the next four years after the Professional Darts Corporation and Foxtel Group extended its long-standing relationship to at least 2027.

The partnership extension will ensure all PDC Premier events, including the World Darts Championship, will continue to be broadcast live to Foxtel Group’s millions of subscribers.

The Foxtel Group is Australia’s leading, next-generation subscription television company with more than four million subscribers and has been a partner of the PDC for over 20 years.

The deal secures the future of the annual Australian World Series event, with this weekend’s New South Wales Darts Masters marking a decade since the World Series’ first visit Down Under.

Fox Sports and Kayo Sports subscribers will continue to have unparalleled access to the world’s biggest darts events, including this weekend’s NSW Masters action in Wollongong, with Michael Smith, Peter Wright and Gerwyn Price among the top stars in action.

Professional Darts Corporation Chief Executive Matthew Porter said: “Australia has a passionate and knowledgeable fanbase, and we are thrilled to extend our partnership with the Foxtel Group.

“This agreement allows us to continue delivering high-quality sports entertainment to Australian viewers.

“We look forward to showcasing our incredible events and players to fans nationwide, with Foxtel Group’s extensive coverage ensuring no one misses out on the excitement.”

Foxtel Group Head of Content Acquisitions, Sport, Adam Howarth said: “Our collaboration with the PDC has brought some memorable sporting moments to Australian audiences, and we are committed to building on this success in the future.

“With this extended deal, we will continue to provide fans with unparalleled access to the world’s top darts events, bringing them closer to the action.”
