Australia vs New Zealand – Frampton Stewart Trophy

Saturday the 21st of October the best of Dartplayers Australia take on the best of Dartplayers New Zealand as after an all to long hiatus the Frampton Stewart Trophy is to be battled out once more at the Warilla Bowls and Recreation Club.

See the best ranked DPA men take on the top eight ranked DPNZ Kiwis as 16 of the best players either side of the ditch face off. For Australia there will be some of the favourites seen on the stage at Wollongong but the battle is going to be fierce, the Kiwis did an amazing job on the stage at Hamilton and are battle ready, with the likes of Kayden Milne getting even better in the interim.

For Australia names like Kemp, Weening and Cuming are all in contention for the top eight positions, which will be finalised after the last round of events at Warilla on September 16 and 17 this month. Therefore despite Darren Penhall already having locked in the number 1 DPA ranking for the year there is a lot to play for this month at the final DPA pro series event of the year.

With the tour returning to full precovid travelling next year it is also the last couple of chances for fans from the Wollongong region to see some of the best players in the country so regularly.

Daniel Sim will be sure to keep an eye on proceedings as DPA captain as he tried to determine who will go head to head with the variety of challenge the Kiwi contingent will bring.

As well as the Frampton Stewart Trophy that October weekend will see the Kyle Anderson Memorial Trophy contested on the Friday night, more competition on the Saturday and then the Oceanic Masters, where team mates from the night before will be forgotten, as each player fights for the final Oceanic spot at the World Championships, joining Darren Penhall and Ben Robb.
